The World Cup posters for each of the host cities will be unveiled on Monday, marking 500 days until the World Cup event takes place in South Africa.
"Monday next week will be exactly 500 days to go to the world's biggest sporting spectacle, watched by a cumulative audience of more than 26-billion spectators worldwide, and South Africa's preparations are in overdrive," is a quote from a statement issued by the 2010 Local Organising Committee today.
The Mayor from each of the nine host cities will be at the sports centre in Bloemfontein, where they will officially unveil each host city poster, but it isn't the only event to be taking place on Monday. It's just one of many.
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality will be holding a street parade and a fun walk in the streets of KwaThema, Tsakane and Duduza, ending in a huge celebration at the KwaThema Stadium this Sunday.
Provincial and Local Government Minister Sicelo Shiceka as well as Local Organising Committee CEO Danny Jordaan are expected to attend the unveiling in Bloemfontein and on Monday, we'll bring you as much information as we can.
