Spain are taking this World Cup extremely seriously. Actually, scrap that, coach Vincent del Bosque is, as he has banned the use of Twitter and Facebook and all other social media sites while his players are part of the World Cup squad.

That means, as of now, the chances of you finding a Tweet or a Status Update from one of your favourite players is about as likely as Scotland winning a World Cup in your lifetime.

So, the likes of Fernando Torres, sat in his hotel room with a cup of tea and his feet up, while possibly wanting to tweet this post to all his friends and followers, won't be able to.

He can't because there will be people watching his account and while he himself will be taking the World Cup just as seriously as his coach, he'd possibly quite like to Tweet it and he is secretly hoping you will, for him and for his Spanish team mates in the other room playing Twister.
