Sepp Blatter voices concerns over lack of activity in South Africa

Sepp Blatter

FIFA President Sepp Blatter is a little nervous about what isn't happening in South Africa and rumours that Australia may have offered to step in if South Africa are not up to the job look like they could be true.

Blatter said "For the moment they have plans, money, and decisions, but I have yet to see the pickaxes and spades needed to start the work."

Rumours have been rife that South Africa are close to losing the prestigious event and the FIFA President talking publicly about it is sure to stir up feelings in South Africa.

Many people felt cheated out of the event in 2006 and losing once given it would be the last straw for many.

Let's hope Danny Jordaan gets the right people in and if necessary picks up a shovel and starts digging himself; after all he's getting paid enough money.
