I think the whole debate on will the vuvuzela be banned or not can now be finally put to bed, as FIFA President Sepp Blatter has tweeted his opinion on the subject and it is very much one that indicates this is no surprise and it was expected.

If you go to any football game in South Africa, you will hear the vuvuzela and that is very much the line taken by Mr Blatter.

On his Twitter account, that you can follow here, he posted 'I have always said that Africa has a different rhythm, a different sound..' and '...I don’t see banning the music traditions of fans in their own country. Would you want to see a ban on the fan traditions in your country?'

I think it fair to say we know where he stands on the subject and actually, he is right. Not everyone likes them that is clear, but not everyone likes brussels sprouts, but they always end up on the table at Christmas.

The vuvuzela is here to stay.
