There is a contingency plan in place should a natural disaster happen but FIFA President Sepp Blatter is '100% sure that South Africa will host a wonderful World Cup'.

Blatter was speaking on BBC TV's Inside Sport programme and confirmed that the United States, England, Mexico, Japan and Spain would be ready to step in should they be needed to.

However, he has quickly stamped our tumours of the World Cup getting moved away from South Africa by confirming the contingency plans in place are only in case of a natural disaster.

"The A-position is South Africa and the B-position is South Africa and there is no other position. Yes, there are few problems like security here and there, but those are the kind of things people will go through until we find a solution to stop everything, but I am one hundred percent sure that South Africa will host a wonderful World Cup" said Sepp Blatter.

With stadium construction well under way, more police officers getting employed and the Local Organising Committee well and truly now on top of things South Africans and the footballing community can rest assured; the 2010 World Cup will be taking place in South Africa.
