A full strength Portugal side including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Pedro Mendes and Nani failed to score against the Cape Verde Islands last night in a pre-World Cup warm up match and while it is only a warm up match, it will be a worry for Carlos Queiroz.
Portugal line up against Korea DPR, Brazil and Ivory Coast in Group G and if they play like they played last night against any of these sides they will be punished.
The game finished 0-0 and while Portugal supporters will put this down as a nothing game - it doesn't inspire much confidence ahead of the World Cup starting in a little over two weeks.
Fans of Argentina on the other hand will be extremely happy after their performance last night. They beat Canada 5-0 and while manager Diego Maradona has come in for a lot of criticism of late after only just qualifying for the World Cup - he can only point to the latest result and it was an impressive one.
The goals came from Maxi Rodriguez (2), Angel Di Maria, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero. Argentina will go into the World Cup full of confidence.
