Polokwane means 'Place of Safety' and is often referred to as the 'City of stars' and I won't tell you why - you will figure it out very soon after landing and if you are going to South Africa, this is one place I would say you really should go, after Cape Town that is.
It is hot all year round and despite the location - you have lots of things to do and if you want to see the real South Africa - drive by car and spend a couple of days getting there.
But, this isn't about the City, this is about the fan park. If you are in Polokwane and you don't have a ticket for the match or you want to watch another match - head on over to the Cricket Club, as that is where the fan park is situated.
It is a short walk from the stadium but a fairly long walk or short taxi journey from the airport. Like all fan parks it will be open on match days from 10am and you will be able to buy food and drinks and there will be entertainment in between matches.
