Nelspruit is closer to Mozambique than many think - you can get there in an hour if you have the same taxi driver I had when I went from Nelspruit to Mozambique a few years ago and all I remember about my time in this beautiful part of the country was how hot it was. Bring shorts!

But this post isn't about weather, it's about the fan park that Nelspruit will be opening for every World Cup match, but really, it is hot and if you are going to South Africa - you have to leave Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg and visit one of these smaller host cities - it is the real South Africa and worth every minute.

But, to the fan park in Nelspruit and like all others, it will open at 10am on the day of a match and will be open late and this one is based at Bergvlam High School - about 5km away from the stadium in Nelspruit.

There is capacity for 30,000 people and you will be able to buy food and drink and there will also be entertainment on in between matches.
