Players that take penalties are now no longer allowed to 'feint' after they have completed the run up to take a penalty and if they do and they score, they will have to take the penalty again and they will also get a yellow card.

They can feint in the run up, just not after they have finished the run. The International Football Association Board has decided it is "unsporting behaviour" and wanted to get the rule changed before the World Cup.

"Feinting in the run-up to take a penalty kick to confuse opponents is permitted," said FIFA's Jerome Valcke. "However, feinting to kick the ball once the player has completed his run-up is now considered an infringement."

Something else the IFAB have added is to give the fourth official more power from the touchline. FIFA's Valcke said of the fourth official "Today he's as important as the other officials on the field," as he will be able to now rule on on-pitch incidents to "assist the referee to control the match".

Change isn't always a good thing and not always before such a big tournament but one was needed and the other is just the beginning of goal line technology and video evidence.
