Reports on all of the four games will be coming tomorrow along with our predictions for the next four games and a news round-up from today, but we quickly had to tell you about winners and losers.

Australia beat Serbia 2-1 but it wasn't enough for them to finish in second place - they didn't score enough or, to put it another way and to have someone else to blame, Germany didn't beat Ghana by enough. Not a great excuse, but one someone could use if they really really want too.

Germany only beat Ghana by a goal, which was good enough for them to finish top of the group, which also means that England got as far as the final sixteen before getting beaten by Germany in this tournament.

England beat Slovenia 1-0 and had a fair chunk of possession but really did little with the ball and we wouldn't be surprised to see Germany win - despite them not having a great day today either.

The USA had a good day today though and we fancy they will be very happy with playing Ghana in the next round because with just a few minutes to go in their match they were all set to finish third in Group C.
