Regular readers will know that we have fancied Argentina for this World Cup but after that performance from Brazil - we might be persuaded to change our minds if they can do that again.

It wasn't that Argentina didn't do well yesterday when the beat Mexico, they did. It was the manner in which Brazil brushed aside a team just as good as Mexico or maybe even a little bit better today.

Chile are a good side but the way Brazil opened them up tonight was a lesson for all to see and a warning fired very much in the direction of Argentina.

It all went wrong for Chile about half an hour in when Brazil scored twice. Juan got the first when he jumped at exactly the right time to head in the perfect corner and a few minutes later, Fabiano put the ball in the net after some nice move from Robinho down the left, who crossed to Kaka who slotted the ball into just enough space for Fabiano to take a touch then take it round the keeper.

Robinho scored the third on the hour mark to quite firmly put the game to bed and after that Brazil had fun - controlling the game and showing us why they are the favourites.
