Australia beat New Zealand and South Korea beat Japan in the two early World Cup warm up games today. Later, Portugal play African side Cape Verde, hosts South Africa take on Bulgaria, England are at home to Mexico and Argentina face Canada, as long as the toilets are up to scrach.
However to the South Korea match first and an early goal from captain Park Ji-Sung and a late penalty from Park Chu-Young goal were enough for South Korea to win.
"My players played their own game until the end. I'm happy about it. But we must improve further our counter-attacks, we need to do it more sharply," South Korea manager Huh Jung-Moo told reporters after the game.
Australia beat New Zealand in World Cup 2010 warm up match
The other early match today took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground where New Zealand lost, despite leading after Middlesbrough striker Chris Killen scored in the 16th minute.
Australia needed all 90 minutes after Dario Vidosic scored in the 57th to even things up. Brett Holman scored with the last kick of the game to win it for the 'Socceroos'.
