A Zinedine Zidane penalty in the 32nd minute was enough to see France beat Portugal and take them to the final of the 2006 World Cup in Berlin this weekend.
Portugal came out fighting and attacked well but the French calm and composure that they've become known for was enough to see them through. Zidane was again the likely French candidate for man of the match.
The crowd turned on Portuguese winger Ronaldo, whistling every time he touched the ball but it didn't effect his game.
Most of the good Portugal football went through Ronaldo and he stood head and shoulders above his team mates; the Portuguese man of the match.
The World Cup ends this weekend and the torch is passed to South Africa for 2010; if they can do half as good a job as Germany it will be another great event.
