Swiss captain Alex Frei has picked up what might be quite a serious ankle injury today and he has left quite a few Swiss football fans worried that it could mean he is out of hte World Cup.
Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld isn't worried though and he has put Frei on the plane to South Africa tonight and he is confident he will be able to call on the player sometime during the tournament.
"I hope the ligaments are not damaged, that there is no fracture," Hitzfeld told Swiss news agency ATS."I believe Alex will be on the flight with us tonight for South Africa even if it's a bad injury. I leave in the belief that he will take part in the World Cup.
"He perhaps will not be ready for the first match but I will be able to call upon him after that."
The Swiss line up against Spain, Honduras and Chile in Group H - what we are referring to as the easy group.
