Two goals from David Villa were enough for Spain to cruise to victory in this match and pick up their first points of the World Cup. We say cruise, because they looked like they had more if they needed it, they just didn't.
The first was a well worked goal by Villa and came just after a bright start from Honduras. Villa picks up the ball on the left, takes it into the box and he bends it round the keeper from the edge of the box - it looked good and he has good feet.
The second came early in the second half but was just the beginning of a half dominated by Spain when they should have had more. Xavi passes to David Villa, who has dropped back a bit and from 23 yards out he shoots and scores. Okay it took a slight deflection and Torres was in enough space to put up a bouncy castle inside the box, but it goes in and it really was game over then.
Villa could have made it three from the penalty spot but he missed it - putting it wide, not even hitting the post, along the ground. You have to wonder how he could have missed - the keeper even went the other way.
Still, Spain could have scored loads more if they want to tonight, but the didn't need it. They now sit second in the group and have to play Chile, who are top, on Friday, to decide the group. There is still hope for Switzerland.
