Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba is waiting for FIFA to decide if he will be allowed to play against Portugal tomorrow with a protective cast on his arm.
Drogba fractured his arm in a warm-up match against Japan on June 4th and initial fears were he would miss the World Cup, but after surgery he recovered quicker than expected and is ready to play, if FIFA approve the use of the cast.
Drogba has been training and is ready to play, it is just a case of knowing the answer. Head coach Sven Goran Eriksson revealed he was waiting to hear from FIFA. Eriksson said: "There has been a FIFA meeting today and the people haven't come back yet. We will know later."
Ivory Coast are in Group G up against Portugal, Brazil and North Korea.
