If either side win this match today they have qualified for the last sixteen of the World Cup and that there is the incentive for both teams.
There will be a winner too. The Dutch have the quality and they didn't really get going when they beat Denmark last time out and if they get that result when they haven't got going, we expect them to win today.
We also expect them to be a threat when they do get going, which we hope will happen although there are no guarantees. They have all the players, it is just a case of can they play together. We might find out this afternoon.
Prediction
The manner in which the Netherlands beat Denmark is the reason why we would have our money on the Dutch if were having a bet today. Japan are going to be well organised but I don't expect any surprises today and this is the only match where we think there is a clear favourite.
The others are more interesting - but we will get to those later.
