I'm eight matches in and I think I'm starting to recognise when a match is going to have some goals. I was fairly sure we'd have some for the Germany match last night and sure enough we got them. I also think we will get some in this match and it is likely to be the only match today where we see more than one or two.

The reason why I think we will see some goals is we have the Netherlands playing and their squad is just made of quality and when you line them up against other sides, they are just better. When you look at the football they like to play also, they have all the ingredients of a great side.

It's a bit like how we know we will see goals when Brazil or Spain play and how we all know, deep down, that England will not win the World Cup and the reality is England will probably end up getting knocked out in the semi-finals after winning the group, beating France in the last sixteen and beating South Korea in the quarter finals.

It also isn't because Denmark are poor, because actually they're not that bad. They'd give teams like England and the United States a game. The Dutch, if they want, really can be a team that gets to the semi-final with a real hope of getting into the final.

But that is also the reason why Denmark can have hope of maybe getting something out of this game and why we might not see many goals and why Italy might surprises us all later and score five. The Dutch have it all but they are like a crème brûlée - looks can be deceiving.

Prediction

This is my game of the day and you've probably guessed that I am hoping for goals, so I'm going to put all my faith in the Dutch and my prediction is a convincing win. Yes, it could all go wrong, then my hope for another match like the thrashing Germany gave Australia last night, turns to Italy against Paraguay later and I'm not convinced it will come from the Italians this time around.

Yes, you have to have some qualities to get to a World Cup final, so I shouldn't write off Denmark just yet and there is a chance they can get something today, but I cant see past Netherlands winning every game and Group E.
