Cameroon 1 Denmark 2: Great game sets up anxious end

I really did enjoy that game. End to end stuff at times, loads of passion, loads of desire, loads of talent and some honest players sweating blood. What more could you ask?

Very little if you want the truth. That is what football should be every game, but we know it doesn't always play like that, but today has been a good day for football like that and I can have no complains. If we can get the same tomorrow, we will all be very happy.

Cameroon went ahead on 10 minutes when some very shoddy play from three Danish players, I'm not naming them as today is a day for praise and it is probably best forgotten, gave Samuel Eto'o the ball in more than enough space for a player of his quality.

He took one touch to tee himself up, took a breather, tightened his boot lace and fired past Thomas Sorensen. At this stage I thought we were going to see Cameroon take control and score more, but the Danish players had other ideas.

Just over 20 minutes later Simon Kjaer makes the pass of the World Cup so far. From inside his own half he plays a cross field pass to Dennis Rommedahl on the right, he beats his man and crosses for Nicklas Bendtner. All he has to do is slide up to the ball and poke it home. He does and it is 1-1.

But that wasn't it for Denmark, but it was it for the half and had the game ended like that and we had a cagey second half I would have been happy as it was a great half, but it just got better in the second half - real end to end stuff.

Fifteen minutes into the second half and the ball falls to that man, Dennis Rommedahl and he is fast. Be heats his man on the right, brings the ball inside and he beds a left footed shot past the keeper to make it 2-1 and the stadium is silenced. For a moment, no vuvuzela and you can hear the Danish supporters.

Great game and it sets everything up for the match of the World Cup so far - Denmark against Japan next week with the winner going through the knock-out stage.
