Arjen Robben, the Holland wide man, will be taken to hospital for a scan on his hamstring tomorrow after picking up the injury during the 6-1 win against Hungary today.

Dutch coach, Bert van Marwijk, admitted he is concerned about Robben but will not consider calling up a stand-in until they can fully determine the extent of the injury.

The Dutch destroy Ghana in World Cup warm up

We here fancy the Netherlands to surprise a few people in the World Cup and we expect them to be spending a lot of time in South Africa and we certainly expect them to qualify.

That opinion was confirmed when we watched them beat fellow World Cup contenders Ghana 4-1 on Tuesday at a canter - they could have scored a few more and while it was a warm up match - you'd be mad to be putting money on Ghana to get past the group stage on that performance.

Eto'o sent off for Cameroon and final World Cup squad

No reason now excuse. His name is Samuel Eto'o and he got sent off in the first half and then proceeded to watch his country lose 3-1 to Portugal. This is no big thing to him as he doesn't need to prepare as he is ready for the World Cup. His main concern is; is the World Cup ready for Samuel Eto'o.

He was sent off for a tackle on Portugal left back Duda, straight after he picked up a yellow for protesting at how Portugal got their first goal. Typical Samuel Eto'o - he wants to referee the game too. No doubting though; Samuel Eto'o is a class act and he will score goals.

Denmark release final 23 man squad for 2010 World Cup

Full of hope and optimism, Denmark coach Morten Olsen has named his final 23 man squad for the World Cup in South Africa and looking at the numbers, the emphasis seems to be focused on not conceding rather than scoring. That or the entire nation only has three strikers.

I shouldn't joke, Denmark surprised us all in 1992 when then won the European Championships in Sweden, but that really was a strange tournament. Only seven countries took part and to make up the numbers, UEFA, or a person equally as smart inside some equally as smart football federation, made up a team called the CIS National Football Team, which actually represented the Commonwealth of Independent States.

World Cup latest fad picked up by Japan: Oxygen tents

Japan's coach, Takeshi Okada, has ordered his players to use oxygen masks ahead of the World Cup to build up their high-altitude resistance, much like what Fabio Capello is doing with the England team.

Okada, whose team play two of their Group E games at more than 1,000 metres above sea level, is to commit his players to using the masks for an hour a day while tents may be used for some of the players at home.
