We are truly united - Japan coach Takeshi Okada

We mentioned it yesterday after the match, but we will say it again; Japan surprised us and it is clear as day that they have worked on set pieces and that the way they play football is focused on the team.

Their coach Takeshi Okada is also keen to stress that it is a team game and that Japan have more to show us.

"Our team has a strength that others don't have. We are truly united. We wanted to demonstrate that football is a team game. We knew we could have made it with a draw but we did not want to be passive," he told a press conference.

"Denmark put us under pressure at the start and we had some risky situations, so we changed the formation and we were able to score two free-kicks that put us in the driving seat.

"We will enjoy this but we have not achieved our final objective. We have to go for more, starting with what will be a first game in the knock-out stages, against Paraguay. The players will have a break tonight and tomorrow we start working again."

We are looking forward to Japan and Paraguay and we think Japan might surprise us again.

Nicklas Bendtner a doubt for crucial World Cup match

The Arsenal striker was a doubt for the last two matches and it appears he is a doubt for this one tonight, but we reckon he'll play and we think it is just media speculation surrounding his non appearance at training every other day.

Denmark coach Morten Olsen said: "He has been doing quite all right. It's by necessity that every other day he does not participate in the practise.

Cameroon 1 Denmark 2: Great game sets up anxious end

I really did enjoy that game. End to end stuff at times, loads of passion, loads of desire, loads of talent and some honest players sweating blood. What more could you ask?

Very little if you want the truth. That is what football should be every game, but we know it doesn't always play like that, but today has been a good day for football like that and I can have no complains. If we can get the same tomorrow, we will all be very happy.

Netherlands 1 Japan 0: Comfortable win and more to come

A Wesley Sneijder goal in the second half fired the Netherlands to a fairly comfortable 1-0 win over Japan and into pole position in Group E in Durban today.

Netherlands v Japan, World Cup Group E, Match 24

If either side win this match today they have qualified for the last sixteen of the World Cup and that there is the incentive for both teams.

Cameroon players must find spirit of lion for the World Cup

Cameroon coach Paul Le Guen confirmed yesterday that he will be changing the team around for the match against Denmark later today after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Japan in their first World Cup match.

Japan and Cameroon almost bore entire office to sleep

Japan beat Cameroon in a match that I didn't expect much from and ultimately I wasn't disappointed. It does mean that we have only predicted seven out of ten matches correctly this World Cup and we also fancy our little run is coming to an end after predicting a draw between Italy and Paraguay tonight.

But Italy and Paraguay are for later. For now, we have to look at Japan and Cameroon and I really did nod off for a moment in the second half when nothing seemed to be happening.

The Dutch don't scare: Netherlands 2 Denmark 0

I'll tell you something for nothing; while we predicted the win, which is seven correct results out of nine now, we are a little disappointed with the performance from the Netherlands. They didn't really look the side we had expected - they looked more like England.

We mean no disrespect to England, it's just that should always do better than they do and you always think you'll get a great game and it is rate that you do. Today, the Dutch looked ordinary and if it wasn't for a lot of luck, they wouldn't have won.
