That result doesn't seem fair almost and I feel a little sorry for Serbia. Okay, if you look at chances then Ghana deserve the win but they only won from the penalty spot and Serbia did go close, especially after they were reduced to ten men.
But, there are no prizes for second place and it is extremely important to not lose the first game, so as of right now, Ghana have put themselves very much in the driving seat in Group D and put a little pressure on Germany and Australia who kick off at 8.30pm tonight.

This will be a good game and end to end. Ghana will know a lot about Serbia and they will play a very African game in attacking them. Serbia will play a very European game defending. We are predicting this to be the game of the day.
When we say defending, we don't expect Serbia to just sit back, we expect them to counter attack Ghana and that is why it will be end to end. There are no second chances in the World Cup which is why you usually see this.

You heard it here first; Serbia will be the surprise package at the World Cup this summer. They have quality players throughout the squad and they are in a group that they could win.
I'm not saying they will win but they do have quality and that quality might come good. They have Vidic and Ivanovic in the back four, Stankovic in the midfield and Zigic up front. This is a team capable of scoring and capable of defending against the best.

Serbia are the latest team to submit their 30 man preliminary squad for the World Cup starting next month in South Africa and they will fancy their chances.
Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United and Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea are included and they will be full of confidence after successful season at club level. Serbia play in Group D against Germany, Australia and Ghana.
