World Cup 2010: We can go to the end - Bob Bradley

United States coach Bob Bradley believes his side can take advantage of finishing top of their group, ahead of England, by reaching the final of the World Cup. You know what; we tend to agree.

We don't necessarily think that the United States will, but finishing top of Group C offers a fantastic chance and we did think that England stood a chance, so we have to say that the United States do too.

Cesc Fabregas tips United States to get to semi-finals

Arsenal midfielder and bit part Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas is tipping the United States to get to the semi-finals of the World Cup.

"The best moment for me at the World Cup so far was that nail biting end when the USA scored in the last minute against Algeria. It was an incredible finale and was the most memorable one for me.

USA 1 Algeria 0: USA win group ahead of England

As the game between England and Slovenia came to an end - Slovenia were still second in the table and going through to the last sixteen, but moments later Landon Donovan is presented with an opportunity that only Yakubu would miss.

Fortunately for all the supporters that travelled to South Africa his name isn't Yakubu and Donovon scored making it 1-0 and effectively winning the group for the United States.

Onyewu and Altidore available for World Cup opener

USA coach Bob Bradley says defender Oguchi Onyewu is ready to play ninety minutes against England and the defender is also keen to play, despite not playing a full ninety minutes since October last year.

Bradley used him as a 61st minute substitute against Australia on Saturday and the player would have liked more.

Jozy sprains ankle but should make World Cup opener

Twenty year old USA striker Jozy Altidore, who spent last season on loan at Hull has been taken to hospital for a scan on his right ankle after being injured in training on Wednesday.

He was expected to start for the US in their opening match against England his status is now "considered day-today" according to a statement released by ussoccer.com, with a mild ankle strain.

USA lose at home to Czech Republic, Turkey up next

It was only a friendly match and the likes of Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, Clint Dempsey, Carlos Bocanegra and Jozy Altidore were all missing but losing 4-2 at home to a team that didn't even make the World Cup, is not going to inspire confidence in travelling supporters.

Fortunately it really was only a friendly and it was as much about giving a run out to a few fringe players and we shouldn't take anything away from the Czechs, they are a very good footballing side. Even if they didn't make South Africa.

Team USA announce 30 man squad for World Cup

On a day where we have focused on preliminary squad, we are not let down by Group C likely lads, United States. I say likely lads because they are likely to qualify and likely to surprise a few people this year.

No real surprises on the 30 man squad however and you can see the list below but for now, you have to fancy team USA will be following England into the next round.
