Slovenia lead Group C and they will have some confidence. They will also know that if they win this afternoon, the chances are they will qualify and considering this is only the second time they have qualified it will be a tremendous feat.
The only other time they have qualified was in 2002 when they went out in the first round - three points tonight, against a team that they can beat, would be fantastic and if the way they qualified is anything to go by and the way they beat Algeria in the first match is anything to go by it is possible.
Slovenia are organised. Very organised and what they lack in quality they make up for in team spirit. The thing is, that is exactly how the United States set themselves up, so it should make it interesting.
Prediction
This is actually a tough one to call. We said in the Germany v Serbia post that we would pick the United States if we were to add a team but if we were serious about betting - we wouldn't bet on this match.
We have a feeling Slovenia can get something out of it, maybe a point, maybe all three. So, our prediction is, this is a tough one to call, but just so we can say we got it right or not, we have to go with our head and our head says United States.

They put in a great team performance against England. We've studied their strengths and weaknesses with our coach. We often have trouble finding our bearings before we play a tight game, but we now know what we’re capable of in a big competition.

I hadn't thought about that - if the United States win both games and England do - both possible, then it is going to come down to how many goals both teams score - ideally nobody wants to come second. This will be important and I fancy the United States can be a little more clinical than England.
