Goals from Jermain Defoe, Joe Cole and Wayne Rooney were enough to make those that didn't see the game think that England cantered to a win, but it was far from cantering. However, it is far from an issue or a worry.
It was a warm up match against a team that were playing players they normally only watch on TV and in all likelihood it was the biggest game of their lives and they played with the enthusiasm you would expect from a team playing the biggest game of their lives.
On the upside for England, Joe Cole looked good. He was lively and the only player to play the full ninety minutes as the others were mostly getting a little run.
England play in Group C up against USA, Slovenia and Algeria and they start on Saturday.
