Former England captain John Terry has been taken to hospital for a scan on his right foot, just a few weeks before the World Cup is due to kick off in South Africa. The fear is he has a broken metatarsal.
He suffered the injury in training ahead of the FA Cup final this Saturday but he did leave the Chelsea training ground walking unaided but with a protective boot.
His club expect to get the scan results back on Thursday but it is now thought that Terry will miss the FA Cup final and take a short break before meeting up with the England team ahead of the World Cup starting next month.

Rumours that he is going on holiday with another man's wife while his wife and children holiday in Dubai are unfounded and purely speculative.
