Five goals so far today. Three last night. Not a bad start to the second round of games is it? To top it all off, we even got a hat-trick today and Messi was better than he was against Nigeria in their first game. How much better can he get?
Take nothing away from South Korea - I don't think anyone would have beaten Argentina today and I think Argentina really could win the World Cup this year - they are playing some fantastic football and they have Messi - who is as creative as you get.
The three goals for Higuain came after Park Chu-Young scored an own goal in the 16th minute. Up until then, South Korea has done a decent enough job of keeping Argentina at arms length but they always looked like they could score at any moment and they did in the 33rd when Higuain got his first.
South Korea got one back just before half time, which probably game them a little bit of hope but the football played by Argentina in the second half was the football of champions and two more goals from Higuain in the 76th and 80th minutes put this game firmly to bed.
Not a good day at the office for South Korea but I still think they can go through, so I am sure they will take it in their stride and in the right way.
