The Holland v Uruguay game is not the World Cup semi final that many were expecting but that is the fixture we have been dealt so we might as well have a bet on it!
The Holland v Uruguay odds make Holland pretty warm favourite as you might expect, but they could have been shorter and they look a really good bet to wrap it up in 90 minutes.
Uruguay have beaten South Africa, Mexico and South Korea in this World Cup, they have drawn their other two games. That list of conquests doesn’t qualify them to beat Holland.
It should be a low scoring match, only Brazil have managed to score past Holland in open play and with Uruguay missing the suspended Luis Suarez, who has scored half their goals at the World Cup, Holland should keep a clean sheet. Holland are yet to score more than two goals at this World Cup in a single match and Uruguay have not yet conceded more than one goal in any World Cup match so there is a slight chance of Holland winning 2-0 but 1-0 looks much more likely and is a great looking bet.
Wesley Sneijder is proving a big hit at the World Cup, he has four goals despite playing in midfield and it is the fact that he is a midfielder that dictates he must be a relatively big price to score during the match. As there will probably only be one goal in this match he should be backed to score the first goal and at around 7/1 that looks pretty tasty value.
