Sunday, 25 November 2007

The draw for the qualifying round of the 2010 World Cup is now over and if this was a benchmark of the future events surrounding the World Cup to take place in 2010 then South Africa have nothing to worry about.

The draw for Europe, Asia, Africa and North America has just finished and you can get a look at where your team ended up by clicking here.

This is the first time since 1934 that the host nation will also compete in the qualifying round, but it is slightly different. It;s different because they will qualify, even if they lost every match.

The reason South Africa are playing is this qualification procedure is also acting as a qualification round for the 2010 African Cup of Nations which is taking place in Angola.
