These politicians wanting this are also requesting that the German constitution be changed to allow the use of the military for domestic security.

It is all down to one man, Interior Minister Wolfgang Sch?uble of the CDU who has been fighting for the ability to use the army inside Germany. It now looks like he has found a way to push for this and he may get his wishes.
