Adamu Gets 2010 World Cup Job PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 10 January 2005
Nigeria's Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee member, Dr. Amos Adamu, has been picked by the continental football ruling body as a member of it's organizing committee for the first ever World Cup Finals in Africa to be hosted in South Africa 2010.

Adamu's wealth of experience particularly as the Chief Executive of the organizing committee of the 8th All Africa Games in Abuja during 2003, was a contributing factor in his getting the job.

CAF had a number of people in mind for that assignment but Amos Adamu had an edge over most of the others because of his practical experience as the Chief Executive of the last All African Games held in Abuja.

His involvement in the administration and organization of the World Youth Championship (WYC) in Nigeria during 1999 and the Nations Cup in 2000 were his other strong points.
